The Serbian Super League Club Union was founded with the aim of improving the highest level of competition on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, and the ultimate goal is the overall improvement of the quality of Serbian football. It represents the sports association of clubs competing in the Super League of Serbia, which delegate their representatives to community bodies. The association operates in cooperation with the Football Association of Serbia and in accordance with its Statute. He organizes and manages the competition within the Super League of Serbia, proposes propositions, the calendar and the system of the competition.

Cooperation within the Community improves the mutual relations of the clubs, the competition system and the conditions of the organization of the competition. It is possible to solve issues of common interest for all clubs, as well as for the players and coaches of those clubs. The community promotes the highest sporting values ​​and takes measures to prevent negative occurrences in football. The focus is on the struggle to ensure the regularity of the competition, the sportsmanship of the competitors, the suppression of violence in the stands, racism, the use of illegal means and other negative phenomena in football. He also takes care of ensuring the best possible professional work in Super League clubs. Through cooperation with the media, the aim is to popularize football in Serbia, better inform the public and create better communication between all interested parties.

Since November 2017, after the Football Association of Serbia entrusted the Super League Association of Serbia with the organization and management of the First League of Serbia competition, the Association changed its name to "Serbian Super League and First League Club Union" and accepted the clubs of the First League of Serbia as members. which started the process of distinguishing professional football as a special category within the football organization.
